Students at Kingswinford Academy Celebrate Record-Breaking GCSE Results

20th August 2026

Students at Kingswinford Academy are celebrating today after securing the best GCSE results in the school's history.

After much hard work studying and preparing, students at the school, which is part of Windsor Academy Trust, are collecting a set of strong GCSE results and getting ready to take their next steps in their educational journey

The school's overall performance saw historic outcomes, achieving an overall Attainment 8 score of 50.8. An impressive 72% of students achieved grades 9-4 including English and maths, while 59% secured grades 9-5 including English and maths.

The school's magnificent overall performance saw a 16% improvement in 9-5 grades compared to last year, placing the school significantly above national outcomes. An impressive 84% of students achieved a pass (grade 4 or higher) in English. In Maths, the success continued with a 73% pass rate (grade 4 or higher).

We saw exceptional performance across a range of subjects including Fine Art, where a quarter of the grades were 7 or higher, in Drama where a third of the students achieved the top grade 9 and in French, where over half of students achieved a grade 7 or better.

Kingswinford Academy students are now looking forward to progressing onto their chosen further education institutions.

While all students have done incredibly well, there are some standout individual achievements. These include:
